This week we have a guest Blathering from
Jeff Z.!
A little background first - Jeff and I were
living together in Darien. Well, me, Jeff and my pet tarantula,
Spike. He wasn't so much a pet as he was just a furry
bug that sat in his tank and didn't move. EVER. at least
when you were looking at him.
Well one morning I woke up and Spike was not
in his tank. I looked all over and couldn't find him ANYWHERE.
We didn't find him for a few days, so the fear factor was
high and in the meantime Jeff drew this little cartoon.
Nobody will be able to appreciate it but me - but Jeff recreated
our apartment in exacting detail in these cartoons.
Also - he perfectly recreated exactly how I am in the morning
- complete with "a floop doop dooby's"
By the way - if you couldn't tell - they're
on Post-It Notes.
We eventually found Spike - he had wedged
himself in the baseboard heater. Luckily it was summer.
I can't imagine the smell of roasting spider can be very
good. And yes - he has since gone up to tarantula heaven.
Luckily for Megan.
Enjoy.
