Last week while we were in Missouri at Megan's parents for Memorial Day, my pops-in-law wanted to take me out for some golfing. But not just a few holes for fun. Oh no. He registered my bro-in-law Wade, Megan's cousin Devin and I in a tournament!

It was just an informal tourney for Ron's club, but it was pretty nerve-wracking for me, seeing as how this was about the fifth round of golf I've ever played and I had to golf in front of people.

We played with another foursome, and I wasn't doing that bad. Most of my shots went straight (when I knew what the heck to aim at). Ron and Devin were hitting some really great shots, and Wade chipped in a great eagle!

Me however - I didn't accomplish much. Except I won the Closest to the Pin prize for the 4th hole! That's right - on the only hole where it mattered, I actually put it on the green, about 3 feet from the hole. And nobody else in the tournament got any closer, so I won!

Whoo-hoo!
