I went to go get him to take him downstairs for dinner,
and he was in our bedroom crawling around. I picked him up and heard
something beeping – I looked around and saw the cordless phone
laying on the ground. I picked it up and looked at it, and saw that
it was engaged. I said “Hello?” and I hear from the
speakerphone, “Hey dude!”
Campbell managed to scroll through our recent callers on Caller
ID and called my work and was talking to my friend Puna for about
five minutes!!
Puna said he didn’t know who it was at first, but he figured
out it was Campbell and talked to him - luckily Puna has a son
around Cam’s age, so he’s fluent in baby-ese.
So now we know who Cam was “Ah…ah….lalala-ing”
at -- thank goodness it was my work and not Japan or 911!!
And if that wasn't enough – Campbell learned how to kiss
today!
I asked him for a kiss and he leaned in and planted one on me
- it was a little 'open-mouth' but that's OK. He'll get better
with practice.
"Is that it?" you ask? Could our favorite little comedian
possibly have done anything else noteworthy today?
Why YES!
We took him to the doctor today for a follow-up, and while we
waited in his office, Cam crawled around on the floor pointing
out all the colors on the chairs.
He went under the desk and found an outlet without a safety plug
and we said "Campbell....no no...don't touch that."
and Cam turned around and said "NONONONONONONO!!!" while
holding up his hand and waggling his index back and forth!! It
was pretty hysterical. He kept saying "NONONONONO!!"
for about two minutes.
