One day, when Brodie was almost three months old, she started having seizures. We took her to the ER and they performed a spinal tap and CT scan. Then she was transferred to the children's hospital where she got an MRI and 24 hour EEG. The doctors couldn't find any reason for them so we were sent home. Three weeks later, just after she got a clean bill of health from her neurologist, she started having them again. The doctor was concerned it might be Infantile Spasms, but after another 24 hour EEG, there was no sign of it.
So at this point we don't really no why she was having seizures, but we know that she does NOT have Infantile Spasms - so that's good.
Here's some pictures from her first stay in the hospital.
Brodie hooked up to the EEG
We brought Campbell in to see her, he was glad to see her
She slept most of the time she was there
Here's what her EEG looked like
No surprise - she didn't like it very much
Here she is, happy to be on her way home
We also have a video of her seizures, they're a little scary but I wanted to post it
to help anyone whose children might be having seizures
