In late October of 2005 my kind and generous father-in-law took myself, my brother-in-law Wade and two of Megan's cousins, Devin and David to South Dakota to go pheasant hunting. Everyone had hunted before, except me and David is like Mr. Hunting. Guy's got camoflage bed sheets. Mr. Campbell has secured us lodging and a guide through a colony of Hutterites (HOO-ter-ites) - they're kinda like the Amish but with electricity. They fed us lunch every day and it was great. They even had pickled watermelon! Mr. Campbell and David tried it and said it was...not so good. We all had a great time and I even managed to shoot two pheasant!

Here's some pics of the trip...

See?? That is one dead bird.
(Don't I look good in safety orange?)

That's our guide, Amos in the back.
I'm trying to pull out tail feathers for David's wife.

That is one FINE looking group of hunters.
Standing - me, Amos, Ron, Devin
Sitting - David and Wade

This was taken in the house we were staying in.
Devin, David, me and Wade

Here's David and Devin looking cool and Wade TRYING to look cool.
Just kidding, Wade!

South Dakota is nothing if not FLAT.

Here's Niki, Amos' gundog tired after a long day of retrieving.

The next series of pictures were taken of this guy's farm. He obviously has an artistic streak and put up all these sculptures on his land where you could see them from the road.

This one is my favorite.
It's just eight identical cars in two rows - anyone know what model?
